Local MP Maria Miller met Head Teacher Nathan Gazzard, staff and members of the School Council when she visited Chiltern Primary School, rated 'Good' by Ofsted. Maria wants every school in Basingstoke to be 'Good' or Outstanding'.
Maria said, "Chiltern is yet another Basingstoke school already rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by OFSTED, along with 85% of all schools in our community, something other communities can only dream of but I want to be even more ambitious to make sure every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Basingstoke's schools have worked hard to achieve higher OFSTED ratings and higher examination results, giving more children the opportunity to get the best results."
Maria said, "The Leadership and teaching at Chiltern means children and families are getting the support they need to succeed.
