Basingstoke’s MP Maria Miller is calling for nominees to enter this year’s NHS Parliamentary Awards in recognition of staff who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.
Maria said, “There is no doubt that staff make our NHS what it is today, the nation’s most loved institution.
“I am incredibly proud of the examples of fantastic care and hard work that have made a genuine difference and touched the lives of local people in Basingstoke.
I have received nomination entries for the following award categories;- Excellence in Healthcare Award, Excellence in Mental Health Care Award,
Future NHS Award, Excellence in Primary Care and Community Care Award and Volunteer Award.
The deadline for nominations has been extended until Friday 26th and I am calling for more nominations to recognise health and care heroes in the following categories;-
The Nursing and Midwifery Award
The Health Equalities Award
The Excellence in Urgent and Emergency Care Award
The Excellence in Education and Training Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award
It’s absolutely right that we celebrate the work staff put into the NHS and want to hear from you about any outstanding care you have received in the last year so I can nominate our local heroes for these awards.”
The NHS Parliamentary Awards celebrate NHS staff, carers and volunteers for all the hard work they do to provide excellent healthcare.
This year there are 10 award categories, including the Lifetime Achievement Award, and a new award, The Excellence in Education and Training Award, which will celebrate new, innovative approaches to recruiting and retaining NHS staff.
