Basingstoke MP, Maria Miller, recently visited the Ashwood Academy, to catch up with Headteacher Dave Moran, and to view the new extension to the school.
Maria commented: “I am really glad to visit Ashwood and see the finishing touches being made to a brand new building to expand the teaching facilities and resources available to pupils. The extension, which has been funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency, will house a new art room, science lab and common room area, and is due to open after half term.
“I am grateful to Dave Moran for providing me with an update on the school and a tour of the new facilities, which I know will have a hugely positive impact on the education of Ashwood students.”
