Local MP Maria Miller called in recently at The Vyne School, where she had a catch up meeting with Acting Head Teacher Jim Eddie, who outlined key highlights at the school, including their “Good” rating by Ofsted and the school’s continuing business link with Fujitsu, who help students with CVs, interviews and other employability and enterprise skills.
Maria also had a Q and A session with members of the School Council, who raised a wide range of subjects with her, including Brexit, North Korea, gender equality and local community issues.
Maria said: “I very much enjoyed my visit to the Vyne, and had a lively discussion with members of the School Council. I was also delighted to be asked to present the students with their Student Voice Awards, for their commitment in being active members of the School Council.”
