Basingstoke’s MP, Maria Miller joined the Designated Named Officer, or ‘local bobby’ for Chineham, PC Ralph Frostick, for a Beat Surgery in Chineham Shopping Centre.
Maria said, “More, visible policing is a top priority for local residents and I am supporting Hampshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Donna Jones, need for a Designated Named Officer in every community.
“It was great to join local Chineham bobby, PC Frostick and his team for a beat surgery at Chineham Shopping Centre. Many residents stopped by to speak to us about what local issues concern them and to express their support for the local bobby scheme.
“I want to encourage all local residents to find out who their Designated Named Officer is, and in order to help with this, I will be holding more beat surgeries in other parts of the town in the coming weeks.”
More information on the local bobby scheme, including how to contact your Designated Named Officer, can be found on the Hampshire Constabulary website, here.
